Hand in Web Checklists and PowerPoints if not previously done. 

Make up fluency work, if needed. 
Prepare  your folders for your next rotation.
  •     You will leave the fluency passages and plastic page covers.  
  •      You will leave the S.E. Hinton articles.
  •       Next time you will go to Mrs. Fugal's classroom to begin your next rotation of reading class.

September 28 is Picture Make-Up Day
Ms. Dorsey will be available after school on Thursday, September 27 for students to use Lab 211 to finish up their PowerPoints.  If you have handed in your PowerPoint, check back once in awhile (under Grades) to see if Ms. Dorsey has left you notes and/or an annotated version of your own PowerPoint, to help you make corrections and get full points.  Most of them will still just say "Turned In," but I may have already added notes.

     Indicate which admirable famous people you'd like to learn more about. 
           Get your person approved.
2. ABC Website Evaluation #1 completed -- questions about one site, and notes page filled out.
           Make sure you have the citation for this site.  
3.  ABC Website Evaluation #2 completed -- questions about one site (a second site about the same person), and notes page filled out.
           Make sure you have the citation for this site.  
4.  ABC Website Evaluation #3 completed -- questions about one site (a third site about the same person), and notes page filled out.
           Make sure you have the citation for this site.  
5.  Your PowerPoint (use the template) made using the notes you took on  ABC Website Evaluations 1, 2, and 3.  
  •             All but one slide will have illustrations. 
  •             All but two (cover and bibliography) will have 4 or a couple more bullets of  interesting information about this person.

  •  Individual Reading Time in the classroom.
  •  Look at examples of assignments.
  •  Computer Lab 211 -- Take  your thumb drive.
    • Have you finished your Search and Select Paper?  If not, finish it up and turn it in.
    • Begin filling out your first ABC Website Evaluations for your first source -- of the sources you found on your Search and Select assignment.  Due today by the end of class or finish as homework as soon as possible.
Note:  Today is a shorter day-- Early Out Monday.  Class ends at 9:25 for B5   and 10:45 for B6.

  • What was this person's life like before he or she became famous?  
    • Where and when was he/she born?
    • What was his/her childhood like?
    • What was his/her youth like?  education?  adventures?  
  • How did this person become famous?
  • What obstacles did he or she overcome?
  • Why is he or she admirable?
  • What were his or her accomplishments?  
  • What was his or her personal life like?     Answer any of the following questions: 
    • Was this person married and did he or she have children?
    • Did he or she have hobbies or other jobs?
    • Did he or she have certain likes and/or dislikes?
    • Are there famous quotes from this person?   
  • What other interesting information would I like to include?
