Mnemonics: Remembering --

Let's expand to ten presidents and use the LOCI method (location)

with a brief trip around the school to remember them.
Use the Loci Method of mnemonics.  Think of a place that is familiar to you, and create a path through that place with stops where you picture the information you need to learn.

You are taking a "fieldtrip."
You will fill out information -- the first ten Presidents of the United States and the years they served.
You will start with the first instructions on your worksheet, then follow the instructions at each place you are led to.

Use an Acrostic, a sentence in which each word begins with the next first letter from the list.
In this case you are memorizing the first eight
Presidents of the United States.

Write them down:
  1. George Washington
  2. John Adams
  3. Thomas Jefferson
  4. James Madison
  5. James Monroe
  6. John Quincy Adams
  7. Andrew Jackson
  8. Martin Van Buren
The letters that represent the last names of these presidents are W, A, J, M, M, A, J, V.
One silly sentence to help you remember this sequence is:
Wendy and John made muffins and just vanished.
Keep repeating the list in your head and write it down a few times. Repeat this until you can write the entire list easily by memory.
