1. Receive seating assignment
2. Fill out two survey papers (on both sides of each) -  I know it is a lot of writing!  Some is for data we need, and some is so we can better help you find books you'd like to read, set goals, and  improve your reading skills.
3. Receive disclosure document and take the disclosure quiz   
1. Return the signature sheet by August 31. 
4. Recognize summer birthdays
5.  Brian Regan jokes around about reading.   He showed examples of visualizing, thinking through your reading, and using word attack skills.   He also gave an example of increasing the speed of reading while losing comprehension (understanding), and he's just plain funny!
6. What do you know about computers?  What can you already do on computers?  Fill out the blue sheet with the big computer clip art.
7. Listen to an excerpt from Beyonders by Brandon Mull.  (page 19+)
