1. Quiet Individual Reading Time
Select a book to read and read quietly for about 20 minutes.
(Ms. Dorsey will continue administering the San Diego Quick Test of reading skills to students -- one at a time.)

2. Jigsaw Activity to Learn about Avoiding Fake News Receive an article. Read the questions, then read the article. Form a group with the students who have the same article (same letter). Reread and discuss together, answering the questions. Make sure you are prepared to teach about your article to students who have not read it. Regroup with students who have the same number. Take turns teaching about your article. Take notes on the articles you did not read. Take a quiz using your notes. 3. Partner fluency practice, if time.
