    Inner Voices:

    If you were absent:
Complete the make-up reading and report the date you read, the type of reading, the title, and how long you read.  Read at least 20 minutes per day missed in class.  If you know you are going to be gone, pick up a pink reading make-up log.

Go to this post to learn this mnemonic for how the Grand Canyon (and other canyons formed:  Mnemonic: DUDE

Read through the answers above that your classmates came up with to these questions:

For what reasons do we read?
Why types of things do we read?
What skills and strategies can we use to help ourselves understand what we read?
What is your favorite thing to read?

If you didn't do it yet,
Practice Noticing Inner Voices  -- If you are absent, print these and follow the directions on the Inner Voice Template, using the Facts About the Brain as the reading material.

If you are in A4, also print another Inner Voice Template and at least get started on this inner-voices assignment:

Check yourself to see whether you remember the four forces that formed the Grand Canyon, then look back at  Mnemonic: DUDE
