May 17: Work on PowerPoints -- You need your Search and Select and ABC documents finished so you can create your PowerPoint.
May 21: Finish PowerPoints -- They are due by the end of the period.
May 23: On this day we will share our PowerPoints. They must be finished and ready to show!
May 28: Read-a-thon -- Bring something to read, a treat if you wish, and a pillow to sit on if you'd like to.

1. Individual Reading and Fill out Reading Log (San Diego Testing)
Fill out four sticky notes about one book you highly recommend.
1) Title and author of the book
2) Four bullets of information about the book
3) Your rating for the book of one to five stars with
five the best
4) What you would use as an illustration if you
were making a PowerPoint slide about it
Example:
1. The Last Battle by C.S. Lewis
2.
- This is the last of the Chronicles of Narnia.
- Jill and Eustace are pulled into Narnia to aid King Tirian as he fights the last battle against evil in the land of Narnia.
- Evil wins the battle, but may not win the war.
- Other kings and queens of Narnia from the other books come in at the end.
3. Five Stars because it is exciting and uplifting and fun.
4. I would use the book cover.
2. Fluency Partner Practice -- more mummies!
3. Finish and check the crossword.
4. Create a PowerPoint together
The Goals of your PowerPoint:
- To communicate clearly
- To share
- interesting
- and important
- and reliable information about your famous person
- To meet the requirements to earn points
