3. Vocabulary: domain
Usually when we speak of the domain name of a site, we are talking about the two or three letters that indicate the top domain (authority) that tells us where the site comes from.
It is an important part of the address for the site.

Tech Trivia Note: Most American servers use three-letter top level domains (e.g. ".com", ".edu"). Countries other than the USA commonly use two letters, or combinations of two letters (e.g. ".au", ".ca", ".co.jp").
Usually, .edu and .gov are reliable, while
.com and .org may or may not be.
