Ms. Dorsey has your folders.  I will hand them out. 

Your notes (3 notes pages -- 1 on Biography Reference Center, and two on sources from Pioneer -- are due by the end of class on the 22nd.
1. Begin class with Quiet Individual Reading. Fill out your reading log! 


2. Fluency Partner Practice 



3. Prepare for the Computer Lab.


Important Reminder:  As soon as you have logged into Edmodo, check for any notes from me. 
Have I approved your famous person?
Are there any additional notes addressed to you under your reading class on Edmodo?

1. He already signed up for famous person in a reply to IMPORTANT -- SIGN-UP FOR YOUR HERO.
2. He needs to do Finding Sources with Pioneer. Library assignment.
3. He needs to Take Notes.  He is looking for 24 or more specific facts. 


Your facts should be in your own words and should be accurate!
Your facts should have been gathered from the databases and online encyclopedia we used in class.  At least three of your sources will be Biography Reference Center and two from Pioneer Online Library.  With approval from the teacher, you may add another source that has been checked for reliability.  DO NOT USE Wikipedia.

-- If you haven't finished signing up for your famous person, do it.
-- If you didn't finish finding and turning in your articles from Pioneer Online library, do it.
-- Take notes on the articles you have found. BRC notes are due by end of class.

-- If you have extra time, go ahead and take notes on your sources from Pioneer.


List of Lab Days:

Rotation 2:
October 3 -- Lab 223 --Select your famous person, finding an article about that person on Biography Reference Center.
October 7 -- Lab 211 --  Find other articles about the same person, using an online encyclopedia and databases.
October 15 -- Lab 223 --Take notes on the articles you have found. BRC notes are due by end of class.
October 22  -- Lab 223 --Finish taking notes on the articles you have found and have them checked off by the teacher. All notes are  due by the end of class.
                      (These will go on your Term 1 Grade.)
October 28  -- Lab 223 --Start creating your project to present information about your famous person.
October 30 --  Lab 223 --Finish your project by the end of class and have it checked off by Ms. Dorsey.
November 3  --  Lab 223 --Present your projects in class.  

All work for this term must be handed in by the end of the day on October 22. 

All late work MUST be handed in by November 12.  I will not accept any late work for this class after that.  You will move to your new rotation then, with a new teacher.  
Remember, it is better to keep up than to catch up!
