Announcements and Reminders:
  • If you haven't finished your Finding Pioneer Sources and Taking Your Notes, get those handed in, please.
  • Your PowerPoint was due by the end of class LAST TIME.  You can still share it with me, though.  I will check for completeness and editing and respond to you (usually in the notes on the PowerPoint). You will still be able to revise and edit before you present.
  • No late work is accepted after December 19.  This includes receiving a grade for your notes, and includes any make-up you might need for reading logs or fluency practice.
  • If you have make-up work for the reading log or fluency graph, take it home and complete it as soon as possible.

What is Bias?   the viewpoint from which a person looks at something

Bias:

Accurate:  correct in all details; exact.
Valid:  having a sound basis in logic or fact; reasonable or cogent.

You can use Wikipedia as a jumping off point -- to build background knowledge before you begin your serious research.

Leave these papers in your folders.
