Announcements and Reminders:
   
IF YOU HAVE YOUR COMPUTER LAB PACKETS TO HAND IN, PLEASE HAND THEM IN TO THE TOP WIRE BASKET.

Check your folder for any make-up homework -- if you need to make-up any reading log or fluency graph assignments.

Today’s  Agenda:


1. Pick up your folder from the black crate. 
 Select a book to read and begin reading quietly.  Don't forget to fill out your reading log when instructed to.  

2. Media Center Presentation on CRAAP!?!?   
   TAKE A PENCIL OR PEN.

3.   One-Minute Partner Fluency Practice
  •        Continue to read passage 606 today.   (Use the number to fill out for passage number.) 
  •       Each pair gets one eraser and one white-board marker.
  •        Keep the passage in your page protector.   EACH OF YOU SHOULD HAVE A PAGE PROTECTOR IN YOUR FOLDER. 
  •        With a classmate you will take turns reading the passage.
  •        You will be timed for one minute.
  •        Your partner will follow along and mark any errors and mark where you ended. 
  •        Notice how far you read.  Figure out how many words you read, then subtract any errors.
  •           Write it down.  
              ______ wpm
MAKE SURE YOU FILL OUT THE DATE, PASSAGE NUMBER OR LETTERS, AND WORDS PER MINUTE EACH TIME YOU HAVE HAD A TURN TO DO A TIMED READING.
