Let me know if you'd like to help out by taking a turn as class librarian.
1. Pick up from the table at the back of the room the list of some possible celebrities for research. Read through it. Jot down any others you might be interested in, and on the back write at least three you'd like to find out more about. Think about what questions you have about these individuals.
2. Line up in alphabetical order by last name and receive a folder to mark with your name (last, first) and to decorate. The folders will be kept in the B1 black crate at the front of the room. Hang onto yours so you can place your fluency materials and reading log in it before you leave class today.
3. Find a book or magazine for individual reading time. -- INDIVIDUAL READING TIME. --Receive and fill out your reading log. -- How to check out books from this classroom
4. Fluency Practice -- Practice run.
5. Collect folders and place in crate.
If there is time, Mrs. Dorsey will begin giving individuals the San Diego Quick Assessment.
