Today’s  Agenda:

1. Get ready for class. 
  • Pick up your folder from the back of the room. 
  • If you were not here last time, pick up your hall pass requests from the lower wire basket for our class. 
  • Find your assigned seat.
  • Make sure you have a pen or pencil ready.


2. Quiet Individual Reading
  • Fill out your Reading Log. 
  • Fill out every part of the line for each day: date, type of material read, title, something about what you read, minutes read.

3. Partner Fluency Practice 
  • Fill out your Fluency Graph.  
  • Required for each time you read: date, passage number, words per minute


4. Metacognition:  Inner Voice Graphic Organizer with an article about the brain
Last time A3 received the Inner Voice Template, but not the Facts About the Brain/
Last time A4 received both and had some time to work.

** Time for students to complete their own inner voice check.





5. BICUM!  Begin the Brochure.

 Check your own inner voice -- METACOGNITION!

Using a plain piece of paper -- colored or white, fold it into thirds -- hamburger-wise.
