Announcements and Reminders:                                             Last Day of Class!                       Put away your kendamas and other toys before you come into the classroom.    May 20 -- last Friday --  was the last day to hand in any make-up, revised, or extra credit work! Today! May 24 Read-a-thon!  Bring treats, pillow to sit on,  blanket,  if you wish.  Make a note for yourself to bring treats!

Targets for Today: I read for enjoyment, and add to a record of my reading. I can read aloud fluently. I can use effective reading strategies and improve my reading skills.

Today’s  Agenda: Pick up your folders and take out or find a book or magazine to read. Today Ms. Jones from the Media Center  will teach us how to use Overdrive! Turn in hall passes! Hand back papers from the bottom basket. Turn in your reading log and fluency graph. Save work from this rotation until you get your report card/final grade. Take your folder with you or recycle it.  Readathon!   Rules: This is readathon, NOT a talkathon! Enjoy your treats, but don't leave a mess. Do relax and read. You may sit ALMOST anywhere in the classroom. Don't block doors.
