Announcements and Reminders for  Thursday, February 15, 2018: If you missed last time, hand in your BICUM Brochure and                           take the Final Test                                               (Be able to use your BICUM Strategies --without the brochure                                                 -- as you read an article.)                                     (Memorize the topics of the First Ten Amendments and the first                                                  ten Presidents of the United States, using mnemonics.)                                     (Be able to list and define the parts of the CRAAP Test to                                                   determine whether a source is reliable and useful.) February 15:  Class Readathon      -- Bring Treats, if you wish.   You will most likely wish!            Mrs. Fugal  Room 204 Next time look for Mrs. Fugal in Room 204. Turn in your Hall Passes.  If you haven't turned in your BICUM Brochures yet,  turn it in now.

Targets for Today:   I can quietly read my own choice of materials for an extended time -- hopefully enjoying it!  I can improve my fluency by better understanding my own reading habits, and by practicing!   I can practice improving my reading by using metacognition.

Today’s  Agenda: Today  by the end of class you will hand in your unused hall passes, and your protective page covers and passages.  Hand in your hall passes! 1.  One more round of partner fluency!    Complete partner fluency and record on your graph.  Place your page protector and all fluency passages in the box provided.   2.  Readathon with occasional breaks.   This is your brain on books! Today is our Readathon!
