March 15 -- All Seventh Graders will be Job Shadowing, so not at school. The last day to hand in late work, revised work, and extra credit -- except your hall passes -- is Friday, March 10. If you did not finish the Internet packet we worked on in class, finish it on your own by Friday. Notice that if you forget or lose your assignment pages, you can print them at home from Skyward. Targets for Today:
I can read for enjoyment for sustained periods of time.
I can record my reading. I can read fluently including accurately. I can effectively use the Internet for research. |
Today’s Agenda:
Pick up your folder and a book to read.
1. "Fieldtrip" to the Media Center. Take a pen or pencil. Leave your backpack behind. You will learn about the CRAAP Test to check the usefulness and reliability of an Internet site.
⇉ ⇉ Plan to memorize the parts of the CRAAP Test Be able to explain each part of the mnemonic.
Leave your backpack, etc. You will pick up a green sheet, a bookmark, and a Chromebook (which you will sing out). Mrs. Jones is going to present to us, so be respectful and attentive.
When reading to learn, we need to determine
if what we're reading is
USEFUL and RELIABLE.
I. Is it useful?
2. Is it reliable?
2. Fluency Practice with the Poem on the other side of the sheet you already have --
The "passage number" is TOTF. Record your turns on your graph.
