Today’s Agenda:
Individual Reading -- Before you begin, do a SELF Check.
How is your Study Area? Is this a good place to concentrate on your reading?
Why or why not?
Emotions -- How are you feeling emotionally?
Are you sad, mad, worried, excited, twitterpated?
Friend Owl: Yes. Nearly everybody gets twitterpated in the springtime. For example: You're walking along, minding your own business. You're looking neither to the left, nor to the right, when all of a sudden you run smack into a pretty face.
Level of Difficulty? How hard is the material you're reading? Feeling physically? Are you feeling well or ill?
Are you tired, hungry, thirsty,
or needing to go to the bathroom?
If so, can you fix that, or do you need to decide to ignore it the best you can?
Read and then fill out your reading log.
Do a quick SELF Check. Study Area Emotions Level of Difficulty -- of the material you're reading Feeling Physically
3. Partner Fluency Practice Today we have a new passage -- on the other side of your first one. On your graph, write it as "TOTF" for "Turning Off the Faucet." 4. How can you know if a source is reliable?
