Announcements and Reminders:

If you were absent on the 11th, prepare to take your tests during the Readathon on the 13th.
The test is on
The Bill of Rights -- Be able to tell what the topic is for each.
BICUM strategies -- know at least two for each panel of your brochure, know strategies for reading actively, and know what each letter in SELF means in the Before-Reading step.
The CRAAP test -- Know the word and its meaning.
Here are the review materials:   Learn This for Your Final Test

Today is our Readathon.
Don't forget to bring treats if you wish to.

This is your brain on books!
Today is our Readathon!
If you want to bring treats, don't forget!
  • Hand in your BICUM Brochure if you haven't.
  • You will leave your folders in the black crate.  Ms. Dorsey will pass them to Mr. Gillis.
  • Next time you will go to Ms. Fugal's classroom.

Targets for Today:

Prepare to end the rotation and move on to Ms. Fugal's class, and READ!

Today’s  Agenda:

1.  Turn in your unused hall passes.

2.  One more round of partner fluency!
Receive a new passage to use today.
Complete partner fluency and record on your graph.

3.  Take all partner fluency passages and the page protector out of your folder.  There is a box for you to put them in.

4.  Readathon -- not a talkathon!
You will be quietly reading MOST of the time.

You may sit ALMOST anywhere you want -- including sitting on the floor,
however, the teacher reserves the right to place you in a seat of his choosing
if you are not on task -- reading!
You may read your choice of materials.

Enjoy treats, but be careful not to make a mess, and do clean up after yourself.
 * * * * * * * * * * * *

If you have not taken -- or if I have contacted you to retake -- the final tests,  you will do that today during the Readathon.   I will assign you a place to sit while you test.

Hand in your BICUM Brochure if you haven't -- before you take the test.
