              Bring treats, if you wish, to the Readathon.



For the test, know the BICUM strategies. the Bill of Rights, the first ten Presidents of the United States, and  the CRAAP Test (the words and what each word means). 

Make sure you have finished and handed in your computer packet.  

If you have not taken the test, see Ms. Dorsey.

  • Hand in your BICUM Brochure if you haven't.  
  • You will leave your folders in the black crate.  Ms. Dorsey will pass them to Ms. Fugal. 
  • Next time you will go to Ms. Fugal's classroom.

I can read for enjoyment, and increase my reading stamina.
I can read fluently -- smoothly and correctly and clearly.
As I read for learning, I can I can use strategies to understand and remember the material I need to know.

I can show what I know, and show that I can comprehend and retain information.


Today’s  Agenda:

1. 
  • Make sure you have finished and handed in your computer packet. 
  • If you have not taken the final test, see Ms. Dorsey. 
  • Hand in your unused hall passes. 
  • Hand in your BICUM Brochure if you haven't.
2.  One more round of partner fluency!   
Complete partner fluency and record on your graph. 
Place your page protector and all fluency passages in the box provided.

Today is our Readathon!
If you want to bring treats, don't forget! 


3.   Readathon -- not a talkathon!   
           You will be quietly reading MOST of the time. 

You may sit ALMOST anywhere you want -- including sitting on the floor,
   however, the teacher reserves the right to place you in a seat of his choosing 
   if you are not on task -- reading! 
You may read your choice of materials. 

Enjoy treats, but be careful not to make a mess, and do clean up after yourself.

If you have not taken -- or if I have contacted you to retake -- the final tests,  you will do that today during the Readathon.   I will assign you a place to sit while you test. 


You may get out your treats and books once we begin the readathon.

   Be able to apply the strategies from your BICUM Brochure to reading an article provided by the teacher.  Staple them together, and hand in your tests and your brochures. ]
