Pick up your book and folder.  
1. Quiet, individual reading.
          Record today on your reading log.

      Don't forget to record the date, passage number, and words per minute.

I understand steps I can take to make sure the sources (especially online sources) that I use for information are both useful and reliable (trustworthy).   


I can improve my fluency by better understanding my own reading habits, and by practicing!  

(If time) I can read quietly for an extended time -- hopefully enjoying it! 



Today’s  Agenda for Thursday, April 26, 2018:

A4 needs to hand in the inference assignment.

1.  Pick up your folder and a book to read.  Read quietly.

2. Go to the Media Center  (QUIETLY!) to learn about finding useful and reliable sources. 

     Take a pen or pencil.

3. Partner fluency practice -- A3 did, but A4 did not do fluency practice. 

4. Individual, quiet reading time, if more time.  Whether or not we read again, fill out your reading log for today -- for the reading we did at the beginning of class.  Give yourself 10 minutes.

Fake websites often put .com.co

What is a URL?
It is another name for the address of a website.

According to The American Heritage Dictionary,  The term URL is a noun and it is 
"an Internet address (for example, http://www.hmco.com/trade/), usually consisting of the access protocol (http), the domain name (www.hmco.com), and optionally the path to a file or resource residing on that server (trade)."
