notice and remember their contributions  

we behave differently toward "in" group members.

"out" groups -- don't see them individuals

turn the mirror on ourselves

test unconscious bias

self-awareness the first step

tell ourselves to stop

   set fairness as a goal

    when. . . . then. . ..  statements

everybody take responsibility

    role model

     challenge one another 

          tell a story, etc. 

fear -- genuine feelings

    the fault lies with them and not with the buttons
