Targets for Today:
  •   I can quietly read my own choice of materials for an extended time -- hopefully enjoying it!
  • I can improve my fluency by better understanding my own reading habits, and by practicing!
  • I can learn about improving my reading by using metacognition.

Today’s  Agenda for Friday, January 26, 2018 :

1. Pick up your folders and a book or other materials to read.
2. Prepare for and go to the media center.

We will go to the Media Center for a presentation on a way to check for useful and reliable sources.  Take a pencil or pen.  Leave your backpack since we will return to class.

You will be tested later on what the letters in the CRAAP test stand for, so pay close attention.   If you have the opportunity to take notes, do it!

3. Partner fluency practice  -- Pick up a new passage.
Record each time you read on your fluency graph.

4. Individual quiet reading.
Fill out your reading log for today.
