Announcements and Reminders:                            Don't forget to bring back your Disclosure Signatures with the assessment form on the back filled out.   They will be late after tomorrow. If you have it, hand it in to your class top wire basket.  Pick up your folder from the black crate and take out or find a book to read.        School Pictures will be         on September 6/7.

Targets for Today: I can read a variety of materials for an extended period of time. I can read fluently. I can use metacognition to increase my effectiveness as I read as study. I know strategies I can use to improve my reading comprehension.

Today’s  Agenda: Sit your assigned seat.  HAND IN YOUR DISCLOSURE PAPER IF YOU BROUGHT IT BACK.       MAKE SURE YOU FILLED OUT BOTH SIDES.  PICK UP YOUR FOLDER FROM THE CRATE AT THE BACK OF THE ROOM. THEY ARE ALPHABETICAL BY LAST NAME.  Before you read, do a self check:  a. S -- Study Area - What is your study area, and how easy is it to concentrate here? b. E -- Emotions -- What are your emotions right now?  c. L -- Level of Difficulty -- How hard to read is what you're about to read?  d. F -- How are you feeling physically right now?   1. INDIVIDUAL READING:  Select a book to read and read quietly for about 20 minutes. Continue with Before Reading. Select or create questions Set Study Length -- For how long can I study before I'll need to, or should take a break?   Place Check Marks    Add to your BICUM BROCHURE.
