Announcements and Reminders:

Today: Test on Lewis and Clark to show you can use reading strategies to understand and remember.
Hand in your mind map.
Recreate it -- with 30 or more facts. 

You may hand in your unused hall passes beginning today.
                                                                 


January 11 

Read-a-thon!  Bring treats, pillow to sit on, blanket,  if you wish.

 Make a note for yourself to bring treats!




Targets for Today:
  I will read for enjoyment, and add to a record of my reading.
I can read aloud fluently.
I know strategies I can use to comprehend (understand) what I read, and to remember it.




Today’s  Agenda:
1. Pick up your folder, please.
2. Individual Reading.  Fill out your reading log.  Take home any make-up work in your folder (pink).


3. Partner Fluency Practice
Pick up a new passage.

Study time for Mind-maps, count your facts, and hand it in. 

Hand in Mind-Maps for Lewis and Clark.

Recreate your map with 30 or more facts (cities, rivers, other locations, dates, names, other information).

After you have written (and/or drawn them), number your facts, please.

Come to Cavetime (Friday) or after school today or Friday to take the test.
Don't forget to have your map filled out, so you can receive points for it.
