5    Finish Reading the Internet -- Searching
              First thing, get out a chromebook if you haven't finished 
                    your Search Practice. 
              If you are done with all parts of that, read your choice of book.

7      After Reading -- Retain  --   Mnemonics  -- Use a peg system to learn the Bill of Rights
       RI - Reading Inventory Test -- Beginning of class 
After Reading -- Retain --   Mnemonics  -- Use the loci system to learn the first ten U.S. Presidents.    


11      Use flashcards  to study CRAAP, Bill of Rights, first ten presidents
             You should know either Bill of Rights or First Ten Presidents (or both) for the test.                       Use the mnemonics and other strategies to memorize.
        Practice using Metacognition   with an article = practice test! 

13      Final Test --  Turn in BICUM Brochure and then take the test. 
15      Readathon and Test make-up, if needed
              Bring treats, if you wish, to the Readathon.
The administration changed our schedule on November 21, such that we will not have class on December 19.   Schedule for December 19/20, 2017

1.  Learning a peg system for memorizing The Bill of Rights (and anything else that comes in sets of ten or less).  
Pick up a divided and numbered page and write in the following words in the spaces to match the numbers.

Peg System for Memorizing The Bill of Rights  

We will finish filling in peg system for the Bill of Rights when we return to class. 

2.  Computer Lab to take the RI (Reading Inventory).  
When you have finished, you will complete an assignment using the LOCI System.

SRI Test in Lab 224 

You will complete your LOCI assignment when you are done.
Follow the directions you receive in the Computer Lab.
SRI Instructions 
  • Log onto the computer and wait. 
  • Follow directions to log onto RI.  (See the poster on the wall.)
  • Select three favorite types of books. 
  • Take the practice test SERIOUSLY.
  • Take the rest of the test.  Take it seriously.  It is one of the factors that will influence what classes you will be able to take in the future.
  • If you absolutely DO NOT know an answer, use a "SKIP."
  • When finished, you may print and take the list of suggested books. 
  • Remember to log off of the computer, and to push your chair in when you leave.
