Announcements and Reminders:


    Turn in your BICUM Brochure if you have not done that yet.
Turn in any make-up work for individual  reading or fluency practice.
Turn in your unused hall passes.

Read-a-thon!  Bring treats, pillow to sit on, blanket,  if you wish.

to Mrs. Fugal's classroom -- room 204.

    1.Turn in  your Reading log -- to the top wire basket.



    2. Turn in your fluency graph.  -- to the top wire basket

    Place your clear page cover with the passages still in it -- in the box at the front of the room










    3. Creating Mind-Maps can help you to understand and remember.



    4.  Viewing more of the Lewis and Clark Video - finish if needed.
    A3 to  last time  9:18 to 26:57  to end.
    A4 to Today we will watch  23:10 to end.

    Add more facts to your mind map.  You need 30 for an A.

    Turn in your mind map about Lewis and Clark.

    About the video: 

    Cinematography:  Why would they have chosen to show so many aerial shots -- those shots that swoop over the landscape?  Lewis and Clark would not have seen it that way.


    Sound:  Why would they have chosen and used the music they did?

    Story:  Why did they choose the parts of the story they did?  There is so much more to the story.

    "author's" purpose, choices (bias)

    Take notes in the form of a "Mind Map."

    Complete the make-up work for individual reading and for partner fluency.
    Complete and hand in your BICUM Brochure if you have not yet done that.

     Arrange with the teacher a day after school or during cave time to view the video and create your mind map.
