Announcements and Reminders:      Wednesday, September 28  -- next time! Read-a-thon!  Bring treats, pillow to sit on,  if you wish.  Make a note for yourself to bring treats! Plan to hand in any unused hall passes next time.  Also hand in any reading log make-up by then. If you haven't handed in your Internet Packet, get it in too. Grades for this rotation will be finalized by the end of Cavetime  on this Thursday  - September 29.   We have    2   more classes in this rotation including today.   Turn in any revised or missing work BEFORE the end of the rotation  -- including make-up reading.   TODAY -- Test on Lewis and Clark -- You will hand in your original mind map, then you will recreate your mind map by memory. You will place at least 30 facts on the map, in appropriate places.  That includes the title, rivers, cities, events, etc.  If you need to take or retake your map test (retakes only for those who are receiving below a C in this class),  you can find study materials under the "Lewis and Clark" tab on this blog.   Mrs. Fugal Room 204 On Friday you will look for Mrs. Fugal in Room 204.

Targets for Today: I can demonstrate how reading strategies (mind map, flashcards, mnemonics, etc.) help me remember facts and details.

Today’s  Agenda: Hand in your BICUM Brochures to the top wire basket for your class. Silent reading. Fluency practice: your last one with us! Remember to sit and work with your new partners. Mind Map exam! Pull out your first map and review for a moment. Make sure you have your full name at the bottom. Number your facts -- including the cities, rivers, etc. Hand in your original map. We will pass you a new one and you'll recreate the Mind Map, with all 30 facts on it. Extra facts will earn you extra credit! Grades for this rotation will be finalized by the end of Cavetime  on this Thursday  - September 29.

If You Were Absent: Come in and take your Mind Map test. Complete a pink sheet to make up your reading. If you need to take or retake your map test (retakes only for those who are receiving below a C in this class),  you can find study materials under the "Lewis and Clark" tab on this blog.   Hand in your completed  BICUM Brochure.
